Tralalalala La La lala

Okay so since Sierra says that I never do anything on this blog I decided that today was the day, I would make a post. Hopefully it will be entertaining.
So, the new year has begun! Welcome 2012! It's so weird to think about, I remember distinctly New Years 12 years ago and it most definitely does not seem that long. Christmas Day was great! (The real one, on the 25th of December). Ty, Cambria, and their family, Troy, Sierra, me and my parents were there. We went to church and enjoyed a lovely musical Christmas program. Our family decided to have the opening of presents and that type of celebration on the 26th rather so that Donny and Alyssa would be able to get to our house and enjoy it with us, they arrived home the evening of the 25th. That night I slept on the couch so that Jeffrey and Amri could sleep in my bed (I know, Best. Aunt. EVER. right?) and in the wee hours of the night I was awakened by the sound of Sierra vomiting. I kind of felt bad for her, she didn't get to open gifts with the rest of us because she was on her death bed.

"Christmas morning"
From that moment on I was fighting the sickness. I would just tell myself over and over, you can't get sick Taylor's coming, you can't get sick Taylor's coming. Tuesday night I picked up Taylor from the airport and it was so good to see him! I missed him so much. One after another a family member would get the flu. It was the ever-haunting sickness.
While Taylor was there we did a few fun things despite the illness lurking around the house. We went shooting, we played games, we raked leaves and went four-wheeling in the power truck, and we played HOCKEY! This was probably my favorite event. We originally went to the church to play volleyball but when we got there all the volleyballs were flat, so then our next idea was basketball but then all the balls (all 15 of them) were flat, so when we saw the hockey sticks we made it work. We played with a chalkboard eraser and it was a blast! The teams were me, Taylor, Sierra and Alyssa vs. Dad, Mom, Cambria, and Tyson. Of course our team whooped them. Sierra was the goalie and I'll let her give you details from her point of view.
Taylor was infected with the illness on Friday the 30th, what a great way to spend time with your girlfriends family! So on Saturday morning Taylor and I left and took the train up to San Jose. This was my first time on a train (I think both of ours) it was fun! We played cards for a bit and Taylor was kinda embarrassing because he kept yelling when he would lose to me :)
